A Word About Jed

I clicked over to The 7MSN Ranch this morning and couldn’t help but notice that Pedigree is donating a 20-lb bag of food to a shelter for every blog that mentions their Adoption Drive through today.  Heck, I can do that, and, anyway, I haven’t told you folks about Jed yet.

When I was looking at Western North Carolina one of the things I wanted to do was put in some time with a no-kill animal shelter.  Originally I thought that was going to be with Sarge’s over in Waynesville, but it didn’t work out that way.  Instead I moved to Asheville and here there’s Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR).

Increasing the dose is levitra online not recommended. Ultimately, it could be good cialis viagra for women alternate to switch the treatment. But there’s no need try here now order cheap levitra to delay – oral treatments for ED (PDE5 inhibitors). They will suggest taking precautionary procedures like sleeping in a separate bedroom with a locked door. cheap cialis 100mg BWAR has this program where volunteers take outdoor dogs for a little hike on Wednesdays, and the first time I did it I was paired up with Jed.  Jed is pretty much a Walker Coonhound, and although he’s advertised as a mix you don’t see much of that when we’re out in the woods.  He is an absolutely gorgeous working dog incredibly eager to be doing his thing as he was intended to do.  Occasionally he’ll come to a tree and for whatever reason he’ll start baying up the tree, and he’ll keep that up for quite awhile, looking over at me now and then as if to say “Would you please shoot that damn thing!”  I love it!  I feel a little badly about letting him down after all of his diligent efforts, but I am mindful that watching that beautiful dog work is a privilege.

That’s about it.  I wouldn’t trade Max for anything, and wouldn’t adopt Jed even if they’d let me because it would be a sin to keep that wonderful hound in a little one-bedroom apartment, but he shouldn’t be in a shelter kennel either.  Every day I send out good thoughts that he’ll find the person with a good-sized property and trees and maybe a raccoon population who’ll take him home.  Until that happy day I’m going to try to get over to the shelter on Wednesdays to take that guy out for a well-deserved walk.
